SCOPE OF SERVICES
Long-term Medicaid has established coverage for "swing bed" programs to serve the needs of smaller communities. Extended Care Services is the term we use to describe a hospital room that can house patients in skilled care status for a long time. Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center is proud to offer a healthy environment where patients can recover with the guidance and help of their physicians and clinical and rehab teams. Eligibility to participate in the program is for those whose needs cannot be met at home,
DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS
Patients who need skilled care, including bathing, eating, using wheelchairs, and walking, could benefit from Swing Bed Rehabilitation. Our goal is to work with patients who demonstrate high rehabilitation potential. Our Swing Beds are perfect for those needing additional treatment before safely going home. Coverage varies with each insurance company; we will work on your behalf to determine coverage and availability.
